On those Sunday nights during the sixties I always loved it when Disneyland (HSV7 1830) was all about Tomorrowland as it normally showed the Anaheim Monorail. I really like monorails. I've been on this one and, of course, this one and this one. I'd really like this one to happen but I'm not holding my breath.

One of TramTown's favourite artists has an exhibition finishing up this week -- I'll be getting out to see it I hope.

You can't grep dead trees.

Ask me what grep means sometime, Jack.

Here's a well researched article by Christopher Booker and Richard North titled "The Great Biofuels Con". It gives a really interesting background on biofuels going back over a century and then presents the bits and pieces of the current controversy. Well worth the read, Jack!

There's a great article over at Canada Free Press titled Alleviate world hunger produce more clean carbon dioxide. Anthony Watts also posted it at his Watts Up With That Blog and amongst the comments was this gem
Shouldn’t the question be, “Did your activities today create enough Co2 to grow enough wheat to produce a loaf of bread? If not, you’re not doing your part to feed the starving population in the third world.”

At Chatswood Hills Primary School, the following is found in the newsletter:
Personal Hygiene
Please remind your children that, although it is winter, it is still necessary to apply deodorant in the morning and reapply once during the school day. Aerosols are not permitted but roll on brands are encouraged.
Yes, PRIMARY School. The edict has caused quite a kerfuffle (scroll down a couple of articles) in the local press .

Category: Liberal
I guess I am classically liberal because I tend to come down on the side of whoever it is that runs the Classically Liberal blog. In this case the US legal system has created penalties involving behavioural restrictions that are impossible to obey. Regardless of your opinion of the original "crimes", this is ridiculous from a distance and must be a nightmare for those trying to Do-the-right-thing™.

The Brits are completely mad to remain in the EU. Then again, this article about illegal kiwi fruit may well be a late April Fools' gag.
