There are concerns for this 93-year-old's long-term health!
Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip on August 6, 1945, when a U.S. B-29 dropped an atomic bomb on the city.
He suffered serious burns to his upper body and spent the night in the city.
Traumatised, he then sought the refuge of his hometown - Nagasaki.
I'd say he's doing pretty well.

Category: Nomenclature
Bugger, if we'd known we could've garnered all three TramTown readers and it might now be named Tram Town! (or even Semi'n'DB hospitality suite)

Firstly, oranges have been banned at half time for Queensland netball players. You couldn't make this stuff up, could you?
Second up, McDonald's are sponsoring a maths program on the web making what would normally cost $40 free. The great thing about this story is that the left are praising McDonald's and the right are having a go at them!
Are we in the end days?

Over at Theo Spark's blog is a beautiful animated GIF of an automatic pistol's workings. Go look.

Well... not quite art. We used to say "it's not an optical illusion, it just looks like an optical illusion". This one is an optical illusion for my money, and a very good one at that.

Theo Spark has points to a Reason video about beer in the US. There were some surprising statistics in it. Well worth a watch.
