Category: Mercy On Saturday the scientologists opened a new facility at the old site of the Sisters of Mercy college in MtAlexander Road. I am no fan of the scientologists and I was disgusted to see both Robert Doyle and Justin Madden were in attendance. Doyle even gave a speech. Yuck! |

Category: Loaded I took this picture on my phone late last year: It's a "station" for the Melbourne Bike Share scheme. According to the pricing page, I start to incur extra costs if I have the bike away from a station for more than thirty minutes. Can someone please explain what I would do if I came across a fully loaded station (as above) and was thus unable to dock the bike when my ½ hour was about to expire? Based on the iPod app, there are stations with no available docks as I type! |

Category: HOCOG I'm very impressed with the efforts to bring the Olympics to Hobart. I may even buy a t-shirt. |

Category: Headlines This item from the SMH is already vying for the title of most beat up piece of fluff for 2011: Spector's rage over Richards book. Do your darndest not to laugh at it when you get to the end. |

Category: Warmening All done and dusted according to Imre Saluszinsky. Well done all of us including Al Gore and Tim Flannery. We've beaten this bitch. Onwards to more pressing concerns. |
Category: Transport Just saw one of these down the local shops. Had a quick chat with the rider/driver about the current legality of such and he told me that if you have a recognised disability it is a recognised alternative to wheelchair/scooter -- go figure! (makes sense but, which is probably what surprised me the most) |
Category: Music I'm the operator with my pocket calculator. I played one of those in a band once (a stylophone, not a German). |
