This link found at the Professor's response to Scott Wickstein's top 10 Australians of the 20th century challenge. I wish I had half the ability of the respondents to come up with such a list. BTW Slatts did a good job, too. My list would probably include GK and Roy Rene, Sir John Kerr, Sir Jack Brabham and maybe even (exceedingly reluctantly) Gough. It would probably even include R. A. Santamaria if he hadn't gone a bit silly toward the end; I can't forgive him for that matey interview with Phillip Adams when they both naïvely slammed economic rationalism (was it on ABC TV?). |
