Category: China On 3LO a couple of days ago as we were returning from Paynesville, we heard a discussion about the suppression of the news of Zhao Ziyang's death in China. The presenter asked his "expert" how the news could be suppressed in the era of the internet. The "expert" explained that before the average punter could get anywhere the internet, the government created what is known as "The Great Firewall of China". I'd never heard that before but it turns out I should have known about it. That is all. |
