Category: Car Ads With a sound track that reminded me of Peter + Wolf but also reminded me of The Three Stooges, production sensibilities (some 60+ years later) from Honda and not having the benefit of the 3D effects, I reckon this is worth a look. |
Category: Q I went to see a preview of the Australian production of Avenue Q yesterday. It would be unfair to publish a review of a show that hasn't even opened but I will offer up a few random points...

Category: Video Until this morning I had not seen these "literal" songs where they rewrite the words to match the video. It's hard to explain. Just have a look at Penny Lane. |

Category: Spelling This article manages to spell Shoaib Akhtar correctly but fails on electrofulguration. All in all, though, as Tim Blair says, it provides way too much information. |

Category: Fillums I had never heard of Turkish Star Wars until today. I am currently about a third of the way through and it is excruciating. Let me know in comments if you make it all the way through. UPDATE: I watched it so that you don't have to. At 1½ hours it's a pretty big ask. It's a sort of a Muslim Kung Fu with early Dr Who production standards and bit's of Ep 4 ANH strewn throughout and Islam as The Force™. Oh, and Shintaro, the Samurai came to mind a bit as well. |

Category: RDC Semi might have a bit more to add to this, he was more closely involved than me -- I was only involved very much on the periphery -- Charles Tingwell. Very much, from the Melbourne Theatre Community, Vale. |

Category: RDC Venetia Phair. Never heard of her before but never believed the Disney Dog thing anyhows. Vale. |

Category: Fillums I went to see Star Trek - TNF (The New Fillum) yesterday and I absolutely loved it -- one of those "turn-around-and-go-back-in-again" fillums I thought. But they should've done this I reckon. Otherwise I reckon it was real good. |
