Category: Television I've just watched Filth: The Mary Whitehouse Story on iView (it uses way too much bandwidth for you unfortunately, Jack; hope you saw it on free-to-air). It was remarkably sympathetic. I am definitely not sympathetic with everything she represented but I have to be supportive of her demand that the BBC at least acknowledge that viewers are paying for the service and deserve some respect and recognition. I've just noticed that Whitehouse's nemesis Sir Hugh Greene was the brother of the famous writer and Catholic convert Graham Greene. The film is well worth a watch. 8.1/10.0 |
